How do I use the parseInt method to extract the numeric value from another variable's string value?

Ex:

I want to define a new variable numWidth and use the parseInt method to extract the numeric value from boxWidth.

var boxWidth = "640px"; var numWidth = parseInt("640px", 10);

Hi Taylor,

This should do it:

      var boxWidth = "640px";
      var boxHeight = "480px";
      var numWidth = parseInt(boxWidth,10);
