How do I use the workspace?

When I open the workspace it says something like treehouse workspace and I cannot delete that and if I try to go down one line it just repeats. how am I supposed to use the workspace to do anything? It is useless without any instructions. Where are the instructions to use the workspace?

What you're seeing that looks like this

treehouse:~/workspace$

is a command prompt in the console area. This isn't the method you want to use if you are trying to create HTML or CSS documents from scratch in the workspace. You want to create files via the editor for that, which you can do via the file menu up above.

If you are new to this sort of editing environment, watching the first installation in the "How to make a website" track gives a good basic orientation. I recommend it! If you go through the track, you get the hang of navigating the Workspaces environment.

Good luck! Jen
