4,182 PointsHow do these people get so many points?
I'm looking at the leaderboard to check on my progress. I've been grinding at this course pretty hard, and I'm proud to have earned 350 points in a day. It took a month to get the last 1,000 points.
How do some of these people get like 3,000 points in a day? That seems impossible. Is it monkey-business? Next-Gen AI? Super brainiacs?
Not that internet points matter much, I'm here to learn, but what's going on?

As of yesterday, the problem affecting the leaderboards appears to have been resolved.

31,009 Pointsfirst three months i was on treehouse nonstop 13hours a day. Then I went to 4hours a day. Now it slowed down.
Plus I kind of knew html, css, and some javascript/python before joining. But yeah it helps a lot. LOLs.

Treehouse Moderator 145,860 PointsHey Stephen,
I wouldn't pay that much attention to the "leader boards." There are many factors that come into play.
For example, when I first started Treehouse, I had a general understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, so in the beginning, my points and badges went up very quickly, because I had the videos at 1.5x and was skipping through the beginners courses quickly, as it was mostly just review.
Once I got past my current knowledge, I slowed down significantly! I take my time now to learn the new stuff, and I make sure I understand the underlying concepts of what I'm learning before moving on.
I used to watch where I was on the 'boards', but soon realized that it is all contingent on how much you know coming in... and not how fast you are 'learning.'
So, don't worry about what others are doing... do what is best for you!
:)

231,236 PointsThe Leaderboards have been broken for months now. In several categories, if you check the scores on the right, they are several times the total score on the left.
I've written support multiple times. Each time they say they're "aware of the problem, and it's in the queue...".

65,469 PointsThey do like 13 hours of Treehouse a day I think, and that's how you get loads of points.
