How do you approach gaining new followers when you are just starting out on Social?

It seems that you should always ask your personal connections just to build some momentum and of course in case they have anyone within their circles that may be interested in your products/services. I do know that Facebook makes it easy for you to invite your email addresses to your page. How do you feel about this?

Also what is your perspective on social advertising to gain followers?

Hi April.

One way you might start attracting new followers from scratch is to search tags, and follow accounts relevant to your business. Once you're connected with those accounts, you should interact with them by liking, commenting, and sharing posts. Doing this will make you visible to people who are interested in an account similar to yours.

On certain platforms like facebook and tumblr, you can also join, and post in groups.

The best way to generate a following is by publishing great content on a consistent basis. You also need to have patience in this game. I think Periscope is a great new tool for connecting with new people and getting followers.

I think the best way is to strategize your plans. What do you hope gaining? Traffic, sales? Is it just for fun? If you really want that page to boost, trust me you need some social media amplification plan. You need to boost it up so high, I reccommend trying out color psychology for better communicating. Ther's gonna be a tough ride making those people respect you. In social media, if you don't have value you don't have respect from people. I'm on my mom's account as my own is bugged. I hope the team makes it available to me soon.
