what is wrong with my code? I do not see what went wrong here.

28,558 PointsThe only issue is that you use the var keyword when referencing secret within the loop. The var keyword is used to create a variable, since secret is already created outside the loop you don't need to create it again within the loop.
If you don't use var within the loop, like this:
var secret;
do {
secret = prompt('what is the secret password');
} while (secret !== "sesame")
document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");
Then your code will pass the challenge.
