Looks like you're trying to add some inline style to your header tag. The syntax you are looking for is
<h1 style="color: #800080">Welcome to My Web Page!</h1>
If you are instead trying to style your header through the use of a separate CSS file you would instead use
h1 {
color: purple;
}
For both of these options, make sure you delete the <color=#800080>
you have written in your markup.
