37,045 PointsThere are many freelance boards at your service. You'll generally find that they cater to protecting the client so it pays to be a bit picky about what clients you work with. Being picky may not be an option if you are just getting into freelancing though.
You may need to take a bit of risk and/or work for lower prices than you would like until you build your reputation. Once you have a good reputation you can be extremely picky and only accept the best clients. Clients which will gladly play higher fees for your work.
A google search and/or recommendations from other students can point you to many Freelance job boards. One particular one I had success with was called Elance which is now part of Upwork.
You will encounter every kind of challenge as a freelancer. Be tenacious. >:D
