you can make a list with numbers, but how does it work with items?

65,469 PointsLists can contain anything! You could do this:
my_list = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Or this:
my_list = ["apple", "banana", "green", "alexander", "marissa", "smiley face"]
Or this:
my_list = [True, False, True, True, False, True]
Or even this!
my_list = ["apple", 3, 6, True, "green", 8, 4]
The thing is, list are awesome, and I hope you'll enjoy learning lists on your journey of programming :)
