how do you resize this window with the emulator?

To resize the emulator, do this:

  1. Press on the Run tab, on the top of the screen
  2. Press on Edit Configurations
  3. Click on the Emulator tab to the right
  4. Enter this: -scale 0.5 (or, if that doesn't work: -scale: 0.5)

This will scale down all of your emulators by 50%. You can change that value to make it as big or small as you want.
