Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types Use .split() and .join()

how do you split a string without changing

I cant figure out how to use .split ()

banana.py
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"

Hi there,

Call the split() method on the available variable, using dot notation. Pass in the character you want to split on, in this case that's a ';'. Assign the result of that into a variable named sundaes.

So, you get:

sundaes = available.split(';')

I hope that makes sense.

Steve.
