You're close, but for two things:

  • you need a space between the word "function" and the function's name
  • you don't want a semicolon between the parentheses and the braces

you type the variable function, type the function's name and put a pair of parenthesis.

Technically, "function" is a language keyword, not a variable. :wink:

//You have many options in javascript to write a function:

// Function declarations:

function sayHi() {
   // whatever logic goes here!
}

//Function expressions:

const sayHi = function () {
   // whatever logic goes here!
}

//Arrow function

const sayHi = () => {
  // whatever logic goes here!
}
