I have just been invited to try Treehouse's Techdegree beta which, by the way, seems totally awesome! I noticed a perk which allowed for some 1-on-1 video mentoring from the teachers at Treehouse. How does that work exactly? I actually don't have a webcam for face to face chat on my computer, which is a bummer. Is it just a live instruction lesson, or do I actually have to have a webcam to take advantage of this perk?

You'll just need a microphone, to communicate with the mentor. For my session it was mostly spent with the mentor sharing his screen, as he went through the issues I was having.
