How far will the iOS Swift course take me?

I know this is vague and perhaps a bit silly to ask, but I'm about halfway through the Swift course. Since I'm fairly new to programming, once I complete the iOS course, how close will I be to actually developing quality apps (not games)? For example, if I wanted to create an app to track workouts in the gym, would I have the knowledge and skills to do so, or would my app at that point look fairly rudimentary?

Your knowledge at the end of the course will certainly still be quite basic in the grand scheme of things. But it will at least equip with a decent enough knowledge of the basics that you can make very simple apps, which you can then add to with new knowledge and techniques you pick up from other tutorials, books, etc.

The most important thing is to keep finding things to work on and writing code after you're done with the Treehouse course. That's how you get the knowledge to really stick so that you can build on it.

Thanks! Any ideas if more Swift courses are coming?

No problem Sameer. If you're satisfied with the answer (and with any other questions you ask in future, too) please remember to upvote and mark as 'Best Answer'. Thanks!

As for more Swift courses, I'm not sure if more are coming at Treehouse, but i wouldn't be surprised to see some more fairly soon.
