Hi Guil,
I was wondering how the CSS Layout Basics course differs from your other CSS Layout Techniques course available at https://teamtreehouse.com/library/css-layout-techniques/
I've already started 'Basics' but is it necessary to also do the 'Techniques' course too?
Thanks :)

Treehouse Moderator 91,254 PointsI can vouch for the Layout Basics course as being one of the best CSS courses on Treehouse at the moment.
I'm not sure if the Layout Techniques course is due to be retired but I would recommend taking the new course. It's bang up to date, the project involved is excellent and it helped me understand the techniques involved better than "Layout Techniques".In particular in this one I like the way Guil summarises all the main points for the videos in the teachers notes
It's entirely up to you though. :-)

4,805 PointsThe layout basic course is amazing. It was full of "ah ha!" moments for me in terms of how to start a project.
I hope tree house can keep up the good work delivering tutorials on different and most commonly used layout techniques and styles.
This will help when it comes to making our own projects. Again this has personally helped me immesnly with the big picture and a rough template on how to start building a modern website.
