How is site speed affected by importing Bourbon or Compass?

Wondering if it would be better just to cut / paste the few mixins, etc. you need when you're creating a site with WordPress - essentially creating your own, smaller library.

You could do that, but in my experience I haven't seen noticeable slowness. I'm not sure how you're using it but usually the SASS files are compiled to a CSS file anyway using the code you've written so no un-needed code bloating it should be there.

ah! Excellent point. The only thing being read by the browser would be the compiled css file, of course.

Thanks!
