JavaScript JavaScript Basics Hello, JavaScript! Add JavaScript to HTML

How is the workspace linked to a separate tab that displays the console? Is there a video on how this is setup?

When I watch the videos, he saves the .js file and the results show up in another tab where he has the Chrome DevTool console displayed. How are these two separate tabs linked? For me I only see the results if I copy the javascript directly into the console.

Thanks!

At what time index in the video do you see this?

The tab you are referring to is the workspace preview. The dev tools are docked to the bottom of that page.

The docking options can be seen by clicking the three vertical dots in the upper right of the dev tools, and the options are either side or the bottom of the working window, or a separate window.

You're right! I just went back and re-watched the first few videos of the course to figure this out. Thanks for confirming

Steven, This has happened many time during this course. I was just watching the "Introducing Strings" video and it happens at exactly 4 min.
