How long does it take to LEARN make sites like this from scratch, without using Wordpress?

This is a really nice responsive site I found online. I was wondering how much JS, HTML, CSS and JQuery is really takes to make something like this? Also does the 'Front-End Web Development' course on Treehouse cover everything needed to make this ?

Anyone with experience with Treehouse, it would be great to hear your opinion.

Time is going to depend on how much or how comfortable you feel with all those languages. If you are comfortable with it all to me it wouldn't take long at all if you were skipping wordpress.

There are countless of things you can do or use to speed up development. For example, using responsive frameworks and pre-written scripts to obtain the effects and layout.

Thanks for your feedback Darren! Would you say I would become comfortable from completing the Web-Dev course?

I myself havent gone through that course just yet. If you're somewhat comfortable with some of the languages I would have no doubt that you would have no problem. If not it may be easier to start with Web Design track first as it goes over the basics of creating a website.

Thanks! 'If not it may be easier to start with Web Design track first as it goes over the basics of creating a website.' The web-dev course does too I believe!
