How much should I charge for a website like this one?

Hi there,

I built my first website for a client for free to show the projects and testimonials in my portfolio. However, just for future reference, how much should I charge for a website like this one?

I've used HTML, CSS, jQuery. I'll be adding a contact form (JS). It's responsive. If I deliver EVERYTHING (including the contact form within a week).

A range would be appreciated. Here's the site ** http://tusharsaraf.com/ **

Thank you for helping me out!

P:S: The site is slow to load. I'll be taking care of it later!

I visited the site and from my perspective it goes against some design principals. The first thing I noticed is that the text is too dark against the background. The background images are very cluttered with color and the text isn't readable or appealing. (take this as constructive criticism please)

The text is the biggest issue here. The logo should really be more of a focal point as well when visiting the site.

This page is only 1 page long? I would charge per hour and not per page in this situation.

Use a tool such as Zoho.com to log in hours that you've worked on the site. Don't include hours to be billed when you're taking 10 hours to figure out one part of the website.

If this is for a client I would just get their input. They're going to want changes and once you bill them for 20 hours of work, you can say that you'll do up to 5 or 10 hours of changes without billing them for more.

I would say start reasonable at 15 or 20 an hour. This page shouldn't take more than a day or 2 to make in my opinion.

Or charge per page...100 dollars a page for small/medium amounts of content.

You have to think about functionality too. If there's a lot of interaction I'd charge more.
