General Discussion

How much time is everyone spending on Treehouse or coding in general?

I was just wondering how much time everyone is spending on Treehouse or coding in general. I know everyone goes at their own pace, but I just wanted to have a general idea of how much time everyone is spending?

Thanks

I try to spend a several hours a week working on coding of some sort. I am currently coding around my full time job and spending time with the wife, so sometimes it's hard to find time, but a lot of times I will stay up a few extra hours at night and work on it in bed, or whenever I have some down time. I try to make a point to spend at least a couple of hours working on Treehouse every week, and also spend a few hours working on the app that I've been building, as well as just general reading and pursuing concepts and forums and things like that.

Hi Michael,

I'm currently spending a couple of hours a day working through courses and maybe an hour a day trying to answer some questions in the forum.

Like Ben, also having a full time job and full time family I'd like to spend more but I do what I can when I can.

I log in to Treehouse as soon I as get to work. If I have any downtime at work I'm on here or looking up something web development related. I use codepen.io to write whatever I need to or can and transfer to Sublime when I get home. At home I try to code for a couple hours until I knockout. I'm not one of the people that can stay up until 1 AM. I have to get my sleep for health purposes along with Fitness gains. I due try and prioritize coding or learning atleast a couple hours a day. Even when I'm not coding its always in the back of my mind especially if I'm not doing nothing productive.
