How often is your web-host billing you?

Hi there fellow Treehouse members!

I'm in my trial period and I thought to just start out with HTML/CSS for fun (I actually did learn some stuff I didn't know before, awesome!)

But there came a question regarding how often your host bills you. Monthly-Quarterly-Daily-Yearly.

The correct answer, according to Treehouse, was that it's monthly. However, I've got websites running at 6 hosting companies (5 dutch, 1 in the US) and they all bill me yearly by default.

So, how often does your web-host bill you?

Cheers! Marciplan

(The question doesn't really 'add' anything to the quiz about hosting/services imo btw.)

Mine is worked out on a month by month basis but I pay at whichever interval suits me. At the moment, every 6 months.

I guess it depends on your definition of the word "billed".

I pay once a year at a monthly rate so they say

Most web hosting companies can support yearly or monthly billing, and you'll often find promotions which offer a lower cost per month if you pay yearly. For example, a $20 per month package could cost only $200 (10 months price) if you pre-pay for a year. I have never seen a daily billing option, that would be really strange.
