How to add friends / follow people on Treehouse?

Is it possible to add friends or follow people on treehouse?

I know I can add people to my team, but only of they are on a shared subscription.

Any other way to follow friends' progress and maybe even share workspaces?

I believe there is no direct way to follow people on treehouse.

One easy way is through forum. Every time you answer someones question you automatically get subscribed to the person, in turn the question thread.

You can also look at leaderboards, where you can spot users who have gained highest xp in a particular subject.

As far as I can see, profile for all users in Treehouse are in a sense open, unless made to be private explicitly.

It's on a per question basis, so not like follow on Twitter
