how to add numbers in an array

please help me figure this, absolute beginner - ready to give up!!!!

while.swift
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0

// Enter your code below

while counter < numbers.count {
  print(numbers[counter])
  counter++

}

EDIT: The question asked to add the values in the array and add it to the sum

Hi Tyron, what you have is correct but instead of printing out the numbers, the challenge asked you to add each number in the array to the variable sum to find the total value of all the numbers when added together.

sum+=numbers[counter]
