How to add spaceholder brackets in workspace with Swiss keyboard (using a Mac) when alt + 8 or alt + 9 don't work

I don't seem to be able to add the space holders. Neither do I seem to be able to just copy past them into the workspace.

Does anyone have an idea how to do it?

On a Swiss windows keyboard (that I currently use) you get

{ by clicking "Alt Gr" + "รค ร " and } by clicking "Alt Gr" + "ยฃ $ ".

I can't say for sure but I imagine on a mac it might be something similar but with "cmd" replacing "Alt Gr".

Sorry, I can't give you a more precise answer but I hope this helps a bit.
