how to append the newParagraph element to the content DIV element?

i have trouble appending the p element to the div..

const contentDiv = document.getElementById("content");
let newParagraph = document.createElement('p');
newParagraph.className = "panel";
div.appendChild(p);

You have the right idea, but you need to use the elements you selected from the dom:

contentDiv.appendChild(newParagraph);

You have not declared anything named "p". But your paragraph element is "newParagraph". Same thing with "div" and "contentDiv".

So instead of "div.appendChild(p);" you might write "contentDiv.appendChild(newParagraph);"
