How to break or clear my work from the Console on Workspace

On the Workspace Console, what keys or keywords do I need to use to break from what I was previously typing to get the treehouse: - /workspace$ all over again?

what keys or keywords do I need to use to clear my typing on the console too? I'm currently working from a mac laptop.

If you are running a program from the console and you want to break out of it, hit Ctrl + C. If you are in the console and you just want to clear your screen, hit Ctrl + L or type the word clear. If you are in the python interpreter where the prompt looks like this >>> then just type quit(). I hope this helps.
