CSS

How to center a background using CSS.

I am building a website for a space company and would like to make the background an image of a rocket launching. I have successfully added the image, but am having trouble centering it. Does anyone know how I do this?

html { background-image: url(imageurl.jpg); background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position: center center; }

or

html { margin: 0; padding: 0; background: url(image-url-here.jpg) no-repeat center center fixed; -webkit-background-size: cover; -moz-background-size: cover; -o-background-size: cover; background-size: cover; }

Hope that helps...it usually works for me.

ps.(You can use body { } or html {} as your selectors.)

The second one worked great thanks!!!
