how to count Content-Length

In HTTP course when I send the request with POST protocol I need to count content-length but I don't how to count.

example POST/ register HTTP/1.1 Host: examle.com Accept-Language: en-US Connection: keep-alive Content- Length:

In the video it was the character amount of the request body.
