How to create a variable from parseInt

My Code:

  String yearPresent = console.readLine("what year would you like to see?");
  parseInt(yearPresent) = intYear;
  console.printf(intYear);

I need to get intYear to be equal to the integer that is answered, but I do not know how... help?

Hi Dylan Anderson,

I think you should file this question under "Java" not "JavaScript"

Updated code:

String yearPresent = console.readLine("what year would you like to see?");
int intYear = parseInt(yearPresent);
console.printf("%s", intYear);
