How to declare 2 separate char variables?

How do I declare 2 separate char variables? The video does not discuss this.

I tried: char alpha = a; char bravo = b; out of desperation. But it looks like I missed the two apostrophes when I was assigning the letters. Shame it wasn't shown in the videos. Thanks for the quick reply!
