1,365 PointsHow to declare a String variable IntAsString?
Declare a String variable named intAsString. Convert the randomNumber integer to a String value and store it in the intAsString variable. Hint: "Moosh" them together like in the video!
This is what I did. Random randomGenerator= new Random(); int randomNumber=randomGenerator.nextInt(10); String fact=""; fact=randomNumber + "";
And this what it says: Bummer! There is a compiler error. Please click on preview to view your syntax errors! Editor Recheck work. Output.html JavaTester.java:60: cannot find symbol symbol : variable intAsString location: class JavaTester if (!(intAsString instanceof String)) { ^ JavaTester.java:64: cannot find symbol symbol : variable intAsString location: class JavaTester if (!intAsString.equals(Integer.toString(randomNumber))) { ^ 2 errors
Any suggestions please...

10,978 PointsYour last part is the problem. The code should look like this:
Random randomGenerator = new Random();
int randomNumber = randomGenerator.nextInt(10);
String intAsString = randomNumber + "";

13,116 PointsThe challenge says declare a String variable named intAsString, but you have named yours as "fact" instead :)

1,365 PointsHi Gloria,
Thank you for your response. But unfortunately, still I can't pass the challenge.
This is what I wrote: Random randomGenerator=new Random(); int randomNumber = randomGenerator.nextInt(10); String=intAsString. Random randomNumber= new String(); And this is what I got: Bummer! There is a compiler error. Please click on preview to view your syntax errors! JavaTester.java:22: ';' expected Random randomNumber= new String(); ^ 1 error

13,116 PointsIt's because you changed the wrong thing :) I said you should change "fact" to intAsString. You should swap fact with intAsString. You can make it all a single line declaration as Matin showed below.
