Maybe Google Code Prettify is what you're looking for?

Treehouse TeacherJoe;
One method would be to use escape codes. For example, < produces a < while > produces a >.
So, to produce
<h1> This is an H1 Tag </h1>
you would use
<h1> This is an H1 Tag </hl>
in your HTML markup.

14,147 Pointsyea I was thinking of doing that. but I needed something that would highlight the mark up and google was perfect because it also has skins so you can change the colors on the syntax
Ken Alger
Treehouse TeacherNo worries, the Google solution is slick, I was just trying to provide other options. You could change the colors on the syntax through CSS yourself, but it looks like Google has a nice solution.
