How to drop an 'in progress' track?

I wanted to do iOS app track, but I dont have a MAC so I cant. How do I remove this from my 'in progress' section on my profile? It's annoying :(

I came looking for something similar. There's courses (not tracks) where I just watched a single video (not the trailer) to get a taste for the teacher or skill level of the content, and now it counts as 'in progress' and it's cluttering up my 'In Progress' tab on the home page.

Mildly annoying :(

I think you have to swap to another track. I don't believe you can just drop a track since it always wants you progressing.

I switched back to Front End web design, but I still see it under 'in progress'. But I dont know that i will ever go back to it, as I dont have a MAC/access to one. :(

I have the same issue with the android development track. I decided to jump and refresh with web development first and do android development later.

I believe currently you can't have them dropped but I could be wrong and hopefully someone can correct me.

Treehouse used to have a feature that allowed you to take a course off your home screen, but they got rid of it :(. I don't think there is any other way of doing it.

I can see why they want to keep it up there, but it would be nice if it realized I was focusing on a different track rather than the first one I picked and then jumped out of soon after.

Hello everyone,

Not to make a new topic about this, after 5 months since this was posted - is there a way now to remove a course from your "In Progress"?

Gotta love my OCD...

No, but somebody might want to suggest a feature to remove courses from the home page to Treehouse support.

Hey Caleb,

I was going through my emails and I remembered that I actually sent this question to the Treehouse support team and the reply was:

"Unfortunately there isn't a way to remove courses that you have viewed from your homepage. This has been brought up before and has been forwarded to our developers so hopefully this will become an option in the future."

It was sent to me a exactly 1 month ago. So I guess they are aware of this and are working on it.

Let's face it, it's not a big deal... but it would be nice to be able to keep the courses organized.

Hi, I'd just like to bump this thread to put up my vote that this would be great to have.

Whats the status on this one? Looks like some really basic functionality, really surprised it's not there..

I've read 5 threads like this so far, going back 2 years. I've only been a member a month but loving this place but c'mon Treehouse, with the combined brains of all your teachers, this cannot be a coding challenge so it must be a philosphical one.

If we cannot remove the unwanted 'started' courses, how about adding a 4th header to the home page next to 'In Progress', 'Bookmarks' and 'Completed'. Call it say 'On Hold' and just give us the ability to move the offending courses from 'In Progress' to 'On Hold' (and vice versa).

Its not just the quality training courses for which we are paying, but for the clean working environment which allows us to see where we're at, and what we should be doing next.

This is so annoying. Many of us are experienced developers wanting to brush up on specific topics. So, we want to skip some basic stuff like beginner html and get to the more advanced php topics, for example. But Treehouse will mark the course as incomplete unless you go through every second of every lesson and complete every exercise. Also, if you watch 5 seconds of a course or track, to see if it is appropriate for you, it appears as incomplete on your profile for ever. Really, really annoying. Not sure that I will continue my subscription if this is not addressed.

Has this been fixed yet? It's been 3 years, are you freaking kidding me treehouse?

I guess this is not changing any time soon šŸ˜ž

Bumping, would love this functionality to be implemented
