Hi there! First, there is no need to add a class to the h1 tag. It wants you to select the h1 tag directly. Secondly, the quotes around the purple is not needed. Take a look:

h1 {
  color:  purple;
}

Don't forget to remove the classes from your h1 tag! Good luck! :sparkles:

Thanks! The class works but I missed the colon. I used the equal sign instead of the colon
