How to extend Wordpress functionality

Hi All,

I just wanted to add text messaging feature to an existing worpdress site How do I go about it:

I need to add new form to Wordpress:

  1. <text input> for mobile number
  2. <text input> for the Message
  3. <button> for sending the message

I have PHP function that connects to the SMS gateway to process the information entered in the above Form.

I have tested this using a normal bootstrap html web page with sms form processed by function and it works!!!

So I want to implement or translate this in wordpress and I have never added any extra form elements to wordpress [except "Contact" forms as plugin ] so I would like someone from the teamtreehouse crowd to help me guide how to implement this ??
