JavaScript AJAX Basics (retiring) jQuery and AJAX Handling Errors

How to handle form field errors in AJAX?

I'm using Django for my backend and made a Bootstrap modal for submitting a form. The form submits alright and a new object is created, however if there are form field errors it doesnt show any errors, it just closes the modal upon submission and doesnt create the object. How would I show the Django form field errors in the modal without closing the modal and before submitting the form?
