How to I import a library into my JavaFX application?

This may seem like a silly question, but I'm not sure how to use a library like Apache Commons IO.

I've been relying on the prebuilt starter projects in Itellij, but the JavaFX application doesn't seem to have a place to add libraries. My gut says that I should use something like Gradle or Maven, but can that be done with a JavaFX application?

Let me know if that makes sense, and thanks in advance.
