How to improve my WordPress site

Hi.

I've built my own WordPress site and I'd be open to any feedback as to how I can improve it. I'm very keen for a career change so I'd love to show prospective employers what I'm capable of.

Here's the link:

I'd appreciate any and all suggestions from all quarters.

It looks really slick, to be honest! Just after you scroll from that top jumbotron and menu buttons, things are a bit bare. Is that all a preset theme? I love it, but again I think you could have a sidebar of some sort after scrolling down. Good luck! You're doing great!

Hi Dustin. Thanks for your contribution. You'll have to excuse the whiteness underneath but unfortunately I don't know that much about WordPress. The image at the top is a preset 80's theme. You suggest a sidebar after scrolling down. How do I go about that please? Cheers Dustin. :)

Not sure if you're still working on the site, but you might be able to use this:
