how to limit the range of the randomNumber variable from 0 to 9

so have this task but i am still puzzled why i can't get to the next step? int randomNumber = randomGenerator.nextInt(3);

so this is the code i have written but it seems that i cannot figure out how to limit the range

randomGenerator.nextInt(3); gives your a number between 0 and 2 randomGenerator.nextInt(10); gives you a number between 0 and 9

awesome thank you yes that does answer my question i was confused about the count starting at 0 instead of 1 thank you
