how to make a website

i am doing the how to make a website tutorials and it says use workspace, do i have to use workspace or can i use sublime text so the files are on my computer? i would much prefare the files to stay on my computer

You can use Workspace to save your files ( progress ) online, you can also save your code on your computer .

This is correct. You're not required to use Workspaces. We just provide it because many beginners don't want to download a text editor (or they're not able to install one for security or technical reasons). You can use any text editor you'd like! :)
