How to make my site searchable?

I recently built this personal site.

http://leonwang.me/

Even though I have already done a sitemap to it, it is still not very friendly searchable.

For example, if I type "Leon Wang" in google, I can't find it.

But I see other people can achieve this. For example, to direct to this guy's website:

http://www.tangjikai.com/

You just need type "jikai tang" in google, and the first result is what we want.

Anyone can tell me how make a website nicely searchable?

I believe the SEO basics in the web development track is what you are looking for! :)

Did you mean the business course?

You submit your website to google.

I tried it, but it seems not work. After this, I still cannot find my site by typing my name in Google..
