How to make this the right way?

HI,

If you look at this code, you will see a blue box that has css3 transactions.

So my question is, how can i make that to be bigger than the red box, but with overflow hidden, so when i hover on it, the image will get smaller in the center?

to be mobile responsive as well in a collumn of 4 , or so it works on in one column .

and maybe a slight blur as well

or rather get bigger when hover : p with a little opacity plus and a text in middle

But so the image get bigger and it stays in the box an starts form middle .
