You just assign something to the variable name with the '=' sign. So you type:
name_list='full_name'
The string 'full_name' has now been assigned to the variable name_list. Or if the name_list needs to be an empty list where you can append stuff to, you type:
name_list=[]
With this you have assigned an empty list to the variable name_list.
