10,116 PointsHow to play a video, then check for newer video file, then play again?
I've been learning code for a couple months now, but so far only know intermediate HTML and CSS. Here's what I'm looking to do:
At work, there's a computer hooked up to a TV for visitors. We would like to have this play a video file in full-screen mode on repeat. The tricky part is that the video file will be on a network share, and will be updated several times a week.
Again, I have a limited understanding of what coding would be required to make this happen (just HTML or JS?), but here's what I'm thinking the code would have to do:
- Play the video full screen
- After video ends, refresh the file to make sure that it will load a newer version if available.
- Repeat
Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just a nudge in the direction of an idea of the easiest way I could do this.
Thanks in advance!
