How to re-design websites?

HI,

Im re designing this website.

Im not sure how to make the links nice and how to adjust the content. I did the plan, i have an idea, but i still feel thats not 100% the way it should be.

I have so far

Home | About | Club Info -> Where we are, Training Times, Prize, Diary Dates Events | Gallery | Instructors

But i feel that it could be better .
Or could anyone help me to just make the links , to sort them out?

The hierarchy of the pages is definitely a good place to start, that will lead the users down the path you have devised...

Personally, I would first start by

  • talking to the clients and seeing what they are trying to achieve (show off awards, instructors, classes, etc)
  • laying out the pages in a manner that will help achieve their goal (don't be afraid to remove, combine, add pages)
  • getting 2-5 high quality recent photos and using them tastefully
  • think mobile first, then work towards desktop
  • trashing that entire css file :)

home | Info | Gallery | About Us | Contact Us

Submenus of Info = Classes / Schedule / Events

I will put the instructors info in "Abouts US " Page

prices will put the on after the description of each class, "classes" page.

I i agree with Christ, use a big slider on the hope page to retain the attention of visitors.

i just used this slider for a project hope it helps.
