How to set up virtualenv with python 2.7.6

Hi, I'm new to working with virtual environments, and I need to set one up using python 2.7.6. I've watched the video on setting up a virtualenv, but it only explains how to set it up using python3 (and I am maintaining old code). I've tried 5 or 6 different methods, but all of them either install python3 or give me an error. What do I do?
