How to show an app on the lock screen based on the user's location?

In iOS 8, Apple allowed certain apps to be shown in the bottom left corner of the lock screen when the user is near a certain location. For example, when you're near a Starbucks, and you have the Starbucks app installed on your iOS 8 iPhone, the Starbucks app's icon will be displayed in the bottom left corner of the lock screen, and you can swipe up on it to be taken directly into the Starbucks app. How would I implement this functionality with Objective-C?
