How to show posts listing on a certain page in wordpress

Hello,

I have been playing around with a website and I came up with an idea but I don't know how to do it in WordPress. I've seen other websites done it. Anyway, I am trying to show the posts listing on a certain page (not the homepage). Any ideas on how to do this?

Any help is very much appreciated!

Thanks, Master

Hi,

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding but, if you mean what I think you do, you can do this in the following way:

  • Create a page for the home page.
  • Create a page for the posts.
  • Hover over Settings in the left navigation.
  • Click on Reading.
  • Set Front page displays to A static page.
  • Choose the newly created home page from the drop down to set the Front page.
  • Choose the newly created posts page from the drop down to set the Posts page.
  • Click Save Changes.

This should give you a normal page home page and the posts on the page you want.

If you're looking for something different though let me know and I'll take another look.

This is similar to what I want but aside from having the posts in the homepage, I also want the posts to be on another page. I tried using a plugin called Shortcodes Ultimate but I only get a limited access to its classes and elements making it hard to edit the CSS of the entire thing.

I have kind of figured it out. I used a plugin called Shortcodes Ultimate. I'm not sure if it's the best way but it works. If there's anyone who can suggest a better and safest way, that would be nice.
