how to skip the items at index(0)

i have also tried deleting the item at index-0. But, error is comming.

breaks.py
def loopy(items):
    if items[0]=='abc':
        print(items[1])
    else:
        print(items)

ites=['abc','xyz']
loopy(ites)

I think you might have misread the question. The challenge is asking you to loop through each item, and check if the first character of that item is 'a'. If it is, skip that item, and if it's not, print that item:

def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        if item[0] == 'a':
            continue
        else:
            print(item)
