How to start to front camera for taking video?

i tried :

            videoIntent.putExtra("android.intent.extras.CAMERA_FACING", 1);

But, it only works on some phones,not including nexus 5. What can i do if i want to start front camera using intent on nexus5

I don't know of any way to force the front-camera by default, other than what you are using. Do you know of any apps on the Nexus 5 that start with the front-facing camera? If so, perhaps we can use that as a starting point for research,
