How to upload main image?

How do you upload your main image to your website? The one at the top of your tab displayed on google chrome?

To upload any image to your website you must first upload it to your server, then you link to it on your webpage.

Yes i know that but how do u set it as u logo? like teamtreehouse have the little green logo at the top of a tab. How do i do that?
